The Hope Connection School is a private high school that accepts students in grades 6-12. Students earn a high school diploma and all classes are college bound courses. Students can also have concurrent enrollment while being enrolled at a public high school, other private high school, University of New Mexico or CNM (Central New Mexico Community College). 

The Hope Connection School is in the Block Schedule where students earn 2 credits per quarter that occurs every nine weeks.  There are 4 quarters during the school year.  A student can earn up to 8 credits in a school year.  They can also receive an additional credit by having employment during the day. A student must work a total of 94 hours in nine weeks in order to receive .25 credits. If employed the entire school year, a student can earn 1 full credit by working 94 hours per quarter.
99% of all Hope Connection School graduates go on to college. The Hope Connection School has graduated a West Point Cadet, upcoming teachers, lawyers, business owners, the Ambassador of Iceland's son, and many individuals that are successful in the community.
The Hope Connection School is certified by the NCAA Clearinghouse for all athletes.  Even though the Hope Connection School is strictly an academic school, it has clearance from the NCAA for potential athletes.

The most important goal at Hope Connection School is to prepare students for the future and to have them feel good about themselves and their school. Academic success and a positive self-image are priorities needed to reach this goal. A feeling of pride and commitment to excellence has developed at Hope Connection School and we want you to become part of that attitude.

The Hope Connection School is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and High Schools and the New Mexico State Department of Education. It is also registered with the NCAA for potential college athletes.

The student body at Hope Connection School is no larger that 80 students per quarter and is made up of a variety of students that included students frustrated with overcrowded public schools, gifted, at-risk, learning disabled and athletes.

Hope Lucero, the Head Director, has received a variety of awards and recognitions including Outstanding Hispanic Woman in New Mexico, the YWCA Women On the Move Award, Outstanding New Mexico Woman at the 14th Annual Governor's Award by Governor Johnson, awarded the Smart, Savvy and Successful Business Woman Award, recognized as Trailblazer for Women and was nominated for the New Mexico Women's Hall of Fame. One of seven educators out of 21 states chosen to receive a John W. Vaughn Excellence in Education Award , awarded the Top Accredited Private Secondary Schools Award, and Honored the New Mexico Commission on the Status of Women by Governor Bill Richardson for her leadership, dedicated efforts and improving the quality of life for all New Mexicans, Three-time award winner for the Best of Albuquerque Secondary School by the US Commerce Association. Hope and Steve Lucero were recently awarded and recognized in the America's Registry of Outstanding Professionals.
